T Levels

T Levels provide an equivalent to A Levels for 16 to 19 year olds who would rather study work related courses than traditional academic subjects, and next year we will be launching the Digital T Level.

T Levels aim to produce skilled workers for sectors of the UK economy. Students achieving a T Level will have the numeracy, literacy, digital skills and wider transferable skills, attitudes and behaviours needed to succeed in occupations relevant to their chosen route and the wider workplace of the future.

T Levels are shaped by employers and benefit from the unique insights of industry leaders, which means learners will be equipped with the skills and knowledge they need to get ahead in the modern jobs market. That’s why the content of T Levels has been created and decided by expert panels of employers and other stakeholders.

In terms of teaching time, a T Level will be delivered over two years due to the substantial range of learning involved, the same as A Levels. They will provide a mix of industry-specific technical knowledge and practical skills; relevant maths, English and digital skills; and a work placement of at least 45 days.
